Q.  What is a Pookie^®, anyway? 

A.  To us, "Pookie" is a term of endearment.  It means darling and sweetheart.  It's what you call the one you love.  We thought it was the perfect name for the only product you practically kiss.

     Pookie^® lip balm is made for friends, by friends.  It's the creation of New York University graduates Nicole DiPietra and Gianine Rothschild.  The product was conceived when a friend of Nicole and Gianine decided to make her own lip balm as an alternative to the products available on the mass market.  After too many hours to count, their friend came up with a product she loved:  nourishing and conditioning, not too waxy, not too greasy, not too hard, not too soft. Before long friends and family were craving more.  When Gianine placed an order for party favors, Nicole recognized the potential business opportunity.  So the the women went to work, recruited some friends to lend their creative talents, and together they perfected the formula.  Combining the friends' individual skills and backgrounds in creative development, business management and marketing, Pookie^® is a true collaborative effort and a labor of love.
